The short version

We hold your name, a way of reaching you, and whatever you choose to write here. We sell it to nobody, ever, at any price. You can read it, change it, or take it away whenever you like.

Your vow belongs to you

The words you write to your child are yours. They are stored the way you wrote them, down to the spaces, and they are read by nobody here.

You decide who ever sees them and when. Your child receives them in the year you choose — at fourteen, at sixteen, or from a frame in your hallway. Until you say so, they stay closed.

What we ask for, and why

Your name, so a letter can say it. An address, so a letter can reach you. When your baby is due, so we can put you in a room with parents arriving at the same moment. Beyond that we ask for none of it, and beyond that we hold none of it.

Money

Payment is handled by Stripe, who are very good at it. Your card number never touches this business. We see that you paid, and the last four digits, and that is the whole of it.

Letters

We write to you about the room you are in and the work you are doing. We count no opens and track no clicks, so a letter you leave unread is a letter nobody notices. Every letter carries one line to stop them.

Taking it back

Write to wepromise@itoshigo.family and ask. Your account and your words come down within seven days, and a real person answers you rather than a form. Your vow is yours to take with you, in a file you keep.

If your circumstances change

Some pregnancies end. Your vow stays exactly where it is, closed, belonging to you, for as long as you want it — and it comes down the moment you ask, with no explanation owed to anybody.
